In the first semi-final Nigel Richards beat Brett Smitheram 3-0 while Jesse Day overcame Kevin 3-1. In group B the only Englishman Timothy Lawrence was knocked out by Hammad Hadi on the first quarter final leaving only Pakistani players to fight for the top positions.
Sohaib Sanaullah beat his elder brother Daniyal Sanaullah 2-1, Imaad Ali beat Hasham Hadi by the same score while Tariq Pervez shattered Hassan Hadi's dream by beating him 2-0. The semi-final proved to be very exciting as Tariq Pervez surprised Hammad by winning the first two matches of the best of five. Hammad eventually recovered to win the next three albeit by very small margins. 12 year old Imaad Ali kept his nerves to edge out Sohaib Sanaullah 3-1 to reach the final.-PR
