LSE witnesses bearish trend

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 7.743 million shares to close against previous turnover of 8.117 million shares, showing a downward slide of 374,424 shares. While, out of the total 96 active scrips 19 moved up, 56 remained equal with 21 shed values.

Engro Foods Limited, The Bank of Punjab Limited and Poineer Cement Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 1.49, Re 1.00 and Re 1.00 respectively.

Engro Corporation Limited, Attock Refinery Limited and MCB Bank Limited lost their per share value by Rs 2.44, Rs 2.40 and Rs 1.20 respectively.

The Volume Leader of the day included: the Bank of Punjab Limited with 2.502 million shares, Fauji Cement Company Limited with 2.038 million shares, and Silk Bank Limited (Saudi) with 721,750 shares.
