Pakistani actor Ahad Raza Mir had a great year with some successful projects like drama series ‘Yakeen Ka Safar’ and movie ‘Parwaaz Hai Junoon’. The actor will now be part of Shakespeare’s popular play ‘Hamlet’.
Confirming the news, the actor has revealed his first look for the play on Instagram. “Alright, its official. See you at the theatre,” he wrote.
The Shakespeare Company also shared the first look of the actor with the caption, “We are thrilled to have Ahad Raza Mir join us in the new year for “hamlet: a ghost story” with Vertigo theatre”.
Talking to Gulf Times, he earlier revealed, “I am returning to Canada”. “The show will be featured at various places in Canada. I’m going back to play Hamlet for The Shakespeare Company, one of the most reputable Shakespeare companies in North America. A place where I started my career from, professionally on stage. Pretty nervous but happy,” he said.
Reportedly, The Shakespeare company, Ahad works with in Canada contacted him for three years before signing him up as a lead. Ahad believes it just shows their level of commitment to him. The Pakistani star will be the first brown actor to be cast as ‘Hamlet’ in Canada.
The 24-year-old actor is currently working on a period drama ‘Aangan’ with Sajal Aly, Mawra Hocane, Ahsan Khan, Sonya Hassyn and many more.
