Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Kaleem Imam on Saturday met families of the two policemen who sacrificed their lives while foiling the terrorist attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi. As per details, IGP Sindh, Kaleem Imam along with SSP South, City and other high-ups of the police department, reached the house of martyred policeman, Muhammad Aamir, situated in Neelam colony, an area of Karachi.
He extended condolences with the heirs of the martyred policeman and assured them that "they will not be left alone; the department will take care of them." Later, the Sindh's top cop visited the house of slain ASI, Ashraf Dawood, another martyred of the Chinese consulate attack, in Abad colony of Lyari and assured full support from his side to the bereaved family.
Prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the departed souls. It may be recalled that the Sindh government on Friday had announced Rs 12.5 million compensation money for the families of the assassinated cops.
Adviser to Sindh chief minister on Information Murtaza Wahab had announced Rs 12.5 million compensation money for the families of each police officials and Rs 1 million for the injured private guard. He also announced that the Sindh government will bear all the medical expenses of the guard.
