To remember contribution of late ex-Assistant Agency Education Officer (AAEO), Hastum Khan Afridi in the field of education, a condolence reference was held in private school of Sultan Khel area of LandiKotal on Sunday. The activity was arranged by the relatives of the deceased that was attended by large number of teachers, political workers, students and members of the civil society.
Speaking on the occasion, tribal elder Malik Darya Khan Afridi, former AAEO and headmaster Haji Bahadar Khan, General Sectary Melgari Ustazan Peshawar tehsil Haji Nawshad Khan, Awami National Party (ANP) LandiKotal President Saida Jan Afridi, General Sectary Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Murad Hussain and others pay rich tribute to late Hastum Khan Afridi and said he was builder of the nation and served his life in spreading of knowledge and education in the area.
It was his willing to decorate his youth with ornaments of education and to materializing his interest, he introduced certain reforms in education department during his tenure that was lauded by the masses, they remarked. The speakers added that he was among pioneer political workers who raised voice against Frontier Crime Regulation (FCR) and sought all basic rights for the tribesmen. At the end prayers were offered for the departed soul and charity were distributed among the participants.
