CBOT corn futures lower at two-month low

28 Nov, 2018

Chicago Board of Trade corn futures ended lower on Monday, with the spot December contract nearing a two-month low in sympathy with a 2 percent decline in soybeans, traders said. CBOT December corn settled down 3 cents at $3.56 per bushel after touching $3.55-1/4, its lowest since September 28.
Market underpinned by strength in CBOT wheat, which rose on news of US wheat sales to Egypt and geopolitical tension in the Black Sea region. The US Department of Agriculture reported export inspections of US corn in the latest week at 1,117,580 tonnes, above a range of trade expectations for 700,000 to 1,100,000 tonnes.
