Punjab Chef Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that his government is working on a comprehensive programme to empower the Pakistani youth, as Pakistan is among the blessed countries where 60 percent of the population is consist of youth. "This segment of the society is the ray of hope for the country and we can make progress on a faster pace by imparting skills to our youth," he expressed these views while talking to a delegation of youth here on Saturday.
He further said that the new generation is blessed with wonderful capabilities and is determined to serve the nation. He said that the future of new Pakistan depends on our youth, but unfortunately the governments in the past have not invested on them and did nothing to empower them. "The youth is our asset and we will make a comprehensive policy to benefit from this asset," he added.
Meanwhile, the CM congratulated newly elected president of Pakistan Fedral Union of Journalists (PFUJ) G. M. Jamali, Secretary General Rana Azeem and others office-bearers. In his felicitation message, he said that he is hopeful that the newly elected PFUJ leadership will play a lead role in resolving problems being faced by journalists.
He expressed grief and sorrow over the death of former US president Bush Senior. In his condolence message he expressed sympathies to the US nation and bereaved family.
