The treasury benches on Tuesday failed to give satisfactory answers of the questions raised about the departments of livestock and dairy development, agriculture and irrigation. The session started one hour late under the chair of Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mmazari. PML (N) MPA Mian Nasser pointed out that according to the written answer 58 dams were completed in the province but according to the website of irrigation department 12 dams were completed.
The questions were answered by ministers Chaudhry Zaheer Uddin, Noman Langrial and Hussnian Bahadur Dreshak.
The Punjab Assembly also passed a resolution unanimously presented by Sajid Ahmad Khan showing gratitude and paying rich tributes to Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Pervez Elahi for organizing Mehfil-e-Eid Milaud-un-Nabi in 90 years history of the Punjab Assembly.
The House also passed a resolution of providing toilet facilities to the 17 percent population of the Punjab and 40 percent population of Rajanpur, Muzafargarh and Dera Ghazi Khan districts of South Punjab.
The resolution of public interest was presented by Raja Yawar Kamal, Sardar Farooq Aman Ullah Dreshak, Sardar Ahmad Ali Khan Dreshak and Sabeen Gul Khan.
The House also passed a resolution presented by Hina Pervez Butt on creating awareness among the masses for adopting preventive measures against smog.
The House also passed a resolution put forward by Syed Yawar Abbas, Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi, Shahida Ahmed and Sajida Begum congratulating government for allocating Rs 21 billion for the provision of clean drinking water in the province.
