Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the honey moon period of the government was over and now it should seriously attend to its job. Addressing the central leaders of the JI at Mansoora, he said that the people in the government were still not sure that they were in power.
He said the rulers were now saying that during first one hundred days, the government had only fixed its direction and at least one thousand days were required for action. Only time would tell what the government would be able to accomplish during one thousand days, he added.
The JI chief said that nobody was satisfied over the performance of the government till now as it had only caused price hike and made life difficult for the masses. Sirajul Haq said that the JI would make every sacrifice for the safeguarding the Namoos-e-Risalat and also the Islamic character of the country.
Besides, he said, the JI would step up its efforts to wipe out injustice and tyranny from the society and to solve the problems of the general public. The JI, he said, would organize the youth for the purpose of safeguarding the Pakistan ideology so that our coming generations were able to lead their lives as staunch Muslims and also protect their national honour.
