The district administration's anti-encroachment drive continued for second consecutive day as 35 encroached shops worth Rs750 million at Shah Alam Market were demolished on Tuesday. Talking to media, Deputy Commission Lahore Saleha Saeed said the illegal occupants of pathways were themselves demolishing illegal encroachments.
The demolition squad continued its operation for about two hours. So far, the squad has demolished 70 illegal shops being constructed in verandas and pathways. The DC vowed to continue with the drive till complete demolition of illegal encroachments.
