Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Friday recommended the government to establish two schools and a polytechnic institute in district Zhob of Balochistan to address needs of the youth.
The committee meeting was held here in the Parliament House in the chair of Senator Hilal-ur-Rehman. Senator Molvi Faiz Muhammad said the government should establish at least two schools in the Zhob district to provide educational facilities to the local people. He told that he has served as labour minister and is aware of the needs of the people of the area. He asserted that there are numerous children of mine-workers in the area who will benefit from this initiative.
While discussing the case of Zahir Hussain, who was involved in a road accident that killed four people and has been in custody of Saudi Arabia authorities since 2012, Senator Sassui Palijo was of the opinion that it is imperative that the government makes all possible efforts for his release.
Senator Shaheen Khalid Butt said all record needs to be checked to see whether or not Hussain was at fault, such as being drunk or doing over-speeding, when the accident occurred. If not then it is mandatory to make all-out efforts for his release.
