Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Shahbaz Sharif underwent a medical checkup at Kot Lakhpat Jail on Saturday. The sources claimed that a medical board conducted blood pressure, sugar and other tests of Shahbaz Sharif, however, the reports were normal.
On November 6, the Accountability Court had sent Shahbaz Sharif to jail on judicial remand after his previous physical remand ended in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing case. A few days ago, a NAB team had medical examination of Shahbaz Sharif at Fatima Jinnah Medical University.
On November 24, it may be noted that Shahbaz Sharif's blood report shows signs of cancer recurrence. His medical examination was conducted after he complained of throat ache. The NAB had arrested Shahbaz Sharif in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme scam on October 5. The former chief minister was charged with awarding illegal contracts to his favorite firm. Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif's principal secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad was also arrested in the case.
