HBO has finally announced the much-anticipated premiere date of ‘Game of Thrones’ along with another teaser trailer of the final season.
With the new short teaser, makers have announced the release date of final season of GoT, which will hit the TV screens on April 14, 2019. The new teaser, titled ‘Crypts of Winterfell’, shows Jon Snow, Sansa Stark and Arya Stark walk through the crypts under their family home and hear messages from their dead family members Ned and Catelyn Stark as well as Lyanna Stark.
They reach upon what seems to be their own crypts of Arya, Sansa and Jon, which might be hinting at their possible deaths in coming season. While Sansa and Arya's crypt look exactly like them at their current age, Jon's statue looks a little older.
All of a sudden, a chilly wind blows through the crypts and blows out the torch Jon is carrying, while a frost creeps along the floor and freezes everything, including a feather that has fallen from Lyanna's statue when Jon had passed by it.
Fans have been waiting since August 2017 for the return of the hit fantasy show. A variety of tidbits have been revealed, including that there will be six super-sized episodes, perhaps as long as movies.
Although this season has been touted as last in the franchise, but fans won’t have to say goodbye to author George RR Martin’s celebrated concept just yet. A prequel series has already been cast and should debut on HBO within the next year or two.
