Philanthropists urged to impart technical skills to youth

Governor Sindh Imran Ismail appealed to philanthropists and private sector to cooperate with government for imparting technical skills to youths. "Youths are the future of Pakistan and proper training and guidance will transform them into a useful tool in development and prosperity of the country," he said, speaking at a prize distribution ceremony of National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) held at Aman Institute of Vocational Training (Amantech), here on Thursday.
He urged philanthropists and private sector to come forward for playing their role in imparting technical skills to the youths by cooperation with the government. He emphasised it a combined responsibility to help encourage and promote youths in every field.
The governor underlined the importance of such centres, saying that more vocational training centres were needed for more skilled hands in the country. NAVTTC Executive Director Abdul Rahim Shaikh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ahmed Jalal and other prominent people also spoke.
