Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Political Affairs Naeemul Haq has said the government should confiscate Jati Umra farmhouse of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Bilawal House of former president Asif Ali Zardari on account of their corruption and damage to the national institutions.
While talking to the media here on Sunday, PM's special assistant said there is no possibility of any midterm elections and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government seeks support of opposition parties for the establishment of the new system. He also informed about PTI's mass contact campaign and rallies first to be held in Mianwali on January 27. Naeemul Haq said the government has realized that in the prevailing system, solutions of the public issues is not possible, therefore, to establish modified system Prime Minister Imran Khan is seeking cooperation of the opposition.
He said the government has formed 38 committees with the consent of PM Khan and the chairmanship of 18 committees has been given to opposition. He added that the National Assembly speaker has also assured the opposition's cooperation in law making, after meeting with other political parties. The government has overcome the economic crisis and UAE has also agreed to give Pakistan $3 billion, he said.
Naeemul Haq was of the view that previous governments of Zardri and Nawaz Sharif misused their powers and destroyed the state institutions like Pakistan International Airline (PIA) and Steel mills. He asserted that Nawaz and Zardari's assets should be seized.
