As all eyes are on the accountability court's Monday's verdict, Maryam Nawaz Sharif has vowed to play role as a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz worker to raise voice for justice for party leader Nawaz Sharif, media close to Sharif family stated. They said that the daughter of the former prime minister expressed her ambitions in a meeting with Nawaz on Sunday.
She was quoted as saying that the accountability court's decisions that were meant to distance her father from the masses were grounded in baseless assumptions. Nawaz left Lahore for Islamabad on Sunday ahead of the court's verdicts in the remaining two corruption references against the Sharif family: Flagship investment and Al-Azizia steel mills.
