Cold and dry weather forecast for next 24 hours

Temperature dropped to minus 12 degrees Celsius in northern areas over the past 24 hours, as the Met Office on Tuesday forecast a cold and dry weather for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours.
Skardu witnessed a very cold weather with falling temperature to minus 12 degrees Celsius, Kalam and Astore minus 8, each, Kalat and Gupis minus 7, each, Gilgit minus 6, Quetta and Rawalakot minus 5, each, Malamjabba, Dir and Bagrote minus 4, each, Hunza and Chitral minus 3, each, Lower Dir, Mirkhani, Drosh, Kakul and Chillas minus 2, each, Murree, Parachinar, Saidu Sharif and Bunji minus 1, each over the last 24 hours.
In the next 24 hours: A cold and dry weather is expected for the most parts with very cold in northern parts of the country. Frost is also expected in upper parts of the country during morning hours. Dense and shallow fog is likely to continue in plains of Punjab, Upper Sindh and Peshawar Division during morning hours. "Continental air is likely to prevail over most parts of the country during next few days," the Met Office said.
