Mian Zahid said that overseas Pakistanis were contributing $20 billion to the country's exchequer and it is indeed a great help towards stability of foreign exchange reserves. He urged the government to facilitate overseas Pakistanis in all aspects and consider them as the country's real asset.
"The capacity building of human resource especially for those going abroad is need of time and it also needs instant consideration so that Pakistanis can avail better work opportunities, salaries and incentives abroad to send more remittances," he emphasised.
PBIF president said that Skill Development Council, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority and National Vocational and Technical Training Commission are already working in this area, however, their role must be broadened to cater the needs of people living in remote areas.
"Government should consider the recommendations of Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association to enhance skills of Pakistani workers and find new opportunities for Pakistanis in various countries," he urged.
