JI Chief, Senator Sirajul Haq has urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to begin accountability from his own house as per his own announcement so that nobody could raise any objection and term it victimization. While talking to the media after addressing the JI central workshop for party workers at Mansoora, he said the Prime Minister had himself promised that he would begin the process of accountability from his own house.
He said that now an allegation had been levelled against a member of the Prime Minister's family and corruption cases were also pending against some of the members of the federal cabinet, justice demanded the trial of these people like others.
He said the PTI had been in power for more than five months but real accountability had not been started as yet. He said the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had been disqualified but the other 436 people named in the Panama Leaks had not been issued summoned so far.
The JI chief said there was no progress towards creation of ten million jobs, and on the other hand, some of the government policies and actions had led to increase in unemployment. Sirajul Haq slated the raise in the prices of drugs and medicines and demanded its immediate withdrawal.
