Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah has said he is not in favour of mid-term elections or in-house change although the incumbent PTI-led government lacks capability, policy and attitude. "New government should be allowed to work and there is no need for any in-house change," he said, speaking to a private TV channel.
The PPP's senior leader further said that the opposition would protest in the National Assembly against the recent price hike and they would see if there is a need for military courts in the country. He taunted that Imran Khan labelling the Parliament as fake was correct because "we all know how he got seats in the Parliament."
Khursheed said that Nawaz Sharif's downfall was caused because he ignored Parliament and chose an alternative way. He said the government has challenged the Supreme Court by not removing the names of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah from the Exit Control List. On the possible alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, he said that PPP's co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari visited Nawaz Sharif for the sole purpose of offering his condolences over demise of his wife.
