Sabzwari slams Sindh government for ignoring Karachi, Hyderabad

17 Jan, 2019

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Faisal Sabzwari has criticized Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and its Sindh Government for ignoring development of Karachi and Hyderabad during its years in the power in the province. He was talking to the media here on Wednesday,
Sabzwari bewailed that PPP's Sindh government couldn't even establish a model union council during the 11 years in power. He contended that the existing local government system did not empower the local bodies Faisal told that Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation for establishment of a public sector university in Hyderabad next month. He informed that a delegation of his party met the PM in Islamabad and got his consent for attending the foundation stone laying ceremony for the university.
The MQM-P leader said when the LG system was strong, the MQM carried out a range of development works in cities in previous decade. "There is only corruption in Sindh and the rulers make money through the fake accounts," he alleged. However, he clarified that despite his party's opposition to the PPP's provincial government, the MQM-P would never become part of any unconstitutional move to remove that party's government.
According to Sabzwari, there were politicians in the PPP who wanted to part ways with the party before July 2018 general elections and that they had still not changed their minds. Sabzwari said the elected representatives or office bearers of his party who fail to serve the people would face action and would also not be given the party tickets in the next elections.
