Four Departments of Sindh Government Wednesday signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to launch Sindh Business Registration Portal (SBRP) for facilitating entrepreneurs online.
The signing ceremony was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Minister for Labour Murtaza Baloch, Sindh Minister for Local Government Saeed Ghani, Chief Minister's Advisor on Law Murtaza Wahab, Senior Economist World Bank Amjad Bashir, Chairman Planning and Development Mohammad Waseem and others, a statement said here.
The MoUs were signed between the Investment Department of Government of Sindh, Sindh Labour Department, Industries and Commerce Department and Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI) and SECP to provide an inter-departmental administrative framework.
The SBRP is in the pipeline, to be launched as a one-stop online regulatory approvals and inspection interface.
Addressing the participants, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah spoke about the provincial government's goal to open Sindh for Business.
He said the Sindh government had implemented more than 15 reforms which aimed at reducing procedural burden on businesses.
He was thankful to World Bank for helping to improve the investment climate in the province.
He said the automation process of starting a business through Sindh Business Registration Portal was at the completion stage.
Murad disclosed that the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has exempted from three No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) and reduced procedure to get permits.
