Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has claimed that Saudi Arabia will make a huge investment in Pakistan in near future. The minister revealed this while talking to the media on Saturday at Railways Headq-uarters. "I can see Trump visiting the country during Prime Minister Imran Khan's term," he predicted.
He said tracking system has been installed in various trains which will help relatives of passengers to trace out location of the train through a mobile app. In order to decrease the expenditure, five railway companies like Rail Cap and Redemco will be merged into two companies. New freight train will be inaugurated on 25th of January from Karachi which will help increasing revenue of Pakistan Railways, he added. New water filtration plants will be installed at all major railway stations besides launching an aggressive drive against passengers travelling without tickets, he claimed.
Rasheed said a complaints cell will be set up in Islamabad so that people's problems could be solved with immediate effect. He told that opposition leader in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif is the only person who is asking for the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
As per the constitution and law, no one can stop me from joining Public Accounts Committee (PAC), he added. "Right now Sheikh Rashid is the most senior and experienced member of the Parliament," he added.
Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari are responsible for the current political and economic situation of the country, he blamed. Responding a question regarding Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, he said, "If Bilawal wants to do politics, he should become a Bhutto not Zardari." Sheikh Rashid will chair the meeting of PAC on cases pertaining to PML-N, he wished.
