Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr Kalim Imam accepted on Monday that menace of corruption within the department has adversely affected its overall performances. Addressing a at a high-level meeting here at the Central Police Office (CPO) the provincial police chief said that the corruption has earned a bad name to the department despite the fact that the police personnel have rendered services for the restoration of peace in the country.
However, he vowed to conduct departmental as well as legal actions against the elements involved behind the crime. The meeting was attended by all AIGs and SSPs.
