The poor health and sanitation condition has made the life of the people miserable in Hyderabad, which is the second largest city of Sindh. President of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Muhammad Saleem Shaikh talking to Business Recorder said that all the Tehsils of Hyderabad District - Qasimabad, Latifabad and City - are lacking basic facilities as there is no water supply and drainage system in the district.
Water supply and drainage lines have gone old and ruptured at many points. Resultantly, drainage water mixes with drinking water, causing a number of diseases among people. He has appealed the Sindh Government to take serious notice of the situation and issue strict directives in this regard.
