Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday spoke to senior Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Shah Gillani. Sources said that Foreign Minister Qureshi telephoned Syed Ali Shah Gillani and had an indepth discussion on the deteriorating situation in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the gross human rights violations being perpetrated in IOK by Indian occupation forces.
They said that Gillani appreciated the stance of Pakistan on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute and against the gross human rights violations by Indian forces in the occupied valley. They said that the upcoming international conference on Kashmir in London on February 5, was also discussed during their conversation.
India had recently lodged protest with Pakistan over Foreign Minister Qureshi's earlier telephone call to another senior Kashmir leader Mirwaiz Omar Farooq. Pakistan, however, had rejected the Indian protest and vowed to extend all possible political and moral support to Kashmiri people for their right to self determination.
