Rain, snowfall predicted in upper parts of country

The Meteorological department said on Monday afternoon that a fresh westerly wave is expected to enter western parts of the country today evening/night and likely to persist upper parts till Friday. Weather Forecast for Monday (Night): Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Rain thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat divisions while at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Rawalpindi divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1386 feet, present level 1426.85 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 0.733 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1050 feet, present level 1125.15 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 0.929 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 638.15 feet, present level 641.10 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.042 MAF.
