PTI leader lashes out at Sindh government

18 Feb, 2019

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh chapter General Secretary and parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh Sunday said that the life and honor of the poor people is not safe in Sindh under the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led Sindh Government.
While talking to the media persons in Kotri, Jamshoro district, where he attended the funeral of 15 years old Sheerin Brohi, a speech-impaired girl who was killed after rape, Sheikh deplored that no PPP representative visited the bereaved family. He said Jamshoro was the district of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah but no PPP leader had visited the bereaved family to offer condolence and assure them that the culprits would be brought to the book.
The MPA also visited the Bilawal Medical College and Taluka Hospital Kotri and interacted with the patients and their attendants. According to him, the patients complained about the lack of facilities and medicines. Sheikh bemoaned that the hospital was filled with garbage and contaminated water was being supplied to the patients. "Despite budget of billions of rupees, no facilities are there for the patients," he lamented, adding that the rulers of Sindh had deprived the people of healthcare facilities. Sheikh also met the bereaved family and offered condolence.
