Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Thursday said that tension between Pakistan and India was a threat not only to both countries but also to the region. In a tweet, he said the world must realise that Pak-India conflict would destabilise the region and later the world at large. He said the world would be divided more, adding that extremism would go to new peaks and would be the winner while Pakistan, India and the world would be the losers. "Let's work together to avert this situation," the Information Minister further said.
Meanwhile, addressing the audience in a two-day International Conference on Media and Conflict 2019, organised by Pakistan Peace Collective, Hussain reiterated the government's resolve to address all forms of violent conflicts being faced by the nation. He said the nation had successfully overcome the menace of terrorism and would fight similar conflicts with equal vigour and resolve.
