17 Mar, 2019

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the NAB is targeting only PPP and the recent incident occurred with Jam Khan Shoro (former PPP Sindh Minister) when he, despite having a bail, was threatened by persons in plain clothes having weapons on the way and later it was informed that those persons were belong to the NAB. He said the NAB instead of taking indiscriminate action against people having corruption references, remained busy in arresting people in Sindh only, arrest of Aleem Khan was cosmetic and he may get released soon on bail, he claimed.
He was talking to the media at the marriage ceremony of the nephew of MPA Abdul Karim Soomro at Tando Mohammad Khan on Saturday. The chief minister Sindh said that the situation became quite alarming as the Brigadier Asad Muneer (retd) against whom the NAB was conducting inquiries committed suicide the other day. To a question, Shah said that the federal government had no interest in Sindh. He said that the prime minister Imran Khan twice visited Karachi but the remaining amount of Rs 116 billion of the NFC had not yet given to Sindh by the federal government.
About water shortage in Sindh, he said that a committee to address the water issue in Sindh, was formed on April last year but no any progress had been made in this regard. Replying to another question he said that according to constitution the province had the first right on the natural gas where it had been discovered and we had voiced concern on every forum about the shortage of gas in Sindh and added that district Tando Mohammad Khan was rich in natural gas.
Replying to a question he said that it was quite surprising that a money-laundering case committed in Sindh according to the NAB but it was transferred to Rawalpindi, we had not good memories about 'Rawalpindi' as our beloved leaders Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto were martyred in Rawalpindi. MNA Syed Naveed Qamer and PPP Sindh president Nisar Ahmed Khoro were also present on the occasion.
