Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, Acting JI Chief Liaqat Baloch and other central leaders of the JI have strongly condemned the firing on eminent religious scholar Maulana Taqi Usmani, and the martyrdom of two Ulema in Karachi, and expressed deep grief over the tragic incident.
JI Acting chief in his statement said the martyrdom of two Ulema of the Jamea Darul Uloom, Karachi was a big tragedy. He called upon the government to apprehend the mastermind behind terrorist attack and adopt necessary measures for the security of the Ulema.
He said the elements involved in the incident were terrorists, and agents of the enemies of humanity and Islam. He said the tragedy of New Zealand was still fresh when the enemy had struck again. Liaqat Baloch said the government was active for the implementation of the NAP and questions were being raised about the mosques and madrassahs.
