Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday asked whether former premier Nawaz Sharif's primary concern was getting himself release from the prison or the last week of the bail granted to him is being awaited. He took to Twitter, and stated that it was fourth day of his release and still he was not admitted to a hospital.
Furthermore, he suggested a 'solution' as a way out for Sharif through a plea bargain - a provision which is contained within Section 25 in the NAB Ordinance, 1999. "You were honoured by the general public thrice; return their [people] money," he said.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court granted bail to former premier Nawaz Sharif for six weeks against a surety bond of Rs5 million in a petition filed on medical grounds in Al-Azizia corruption reference; however, with a restriction that he cannot leave the country.
