Pesco recovers Rs 4.8 million from defaulters

The task force of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has recovered Rs4.8 million from defaulters and removed 179 direct hooks during an on-going campaign against power theft in Mardan Circle. Spokesman of the Pesco in a statement issued here on Saturday, said that the task Forces of Mardan-1 Division recovered Rs.2800000 from defaulters, nine tampered meters replaced, whereas 67 direct hooks removed, nine meters removed due to non-payment of dues.
The Spokesman further said the task Forces of Mardan-2 Division recovered Rs 0.95 million from defaulters. He said the task Forces of Takhtbai Division recovered Rs 32200 from defaulters, while Rs 288400 recovered from other consumers. The Spokesman said drive /combing operation carried out in the areas of Katlang, Rustam, Ghari Kapora, Sakhakot sub-division during which several hazardous points cleared. He vowed that ongoing campaign against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks will continue.
