Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the federation should not do politics on the rights granted to the provinces under the 18th constitutional amendment and should instead fulfill its promises. Talking to the JI Information Secretary Qaisar Sharif from Holy Makkah by telephone, he said that the reservations of the provinces about the 18th amendment should be addressed. He said that the share allocated for Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be paid fully. Besides, he said, the three per cent of the NFC Award allocated for FATA must be paid immediately so that development work could be undertaken.
The JI chief said that the economic advisors of the PTI government had ruined the country's economy and the government should be ready to face the public wrath. He said that the economic brains of the ruling party who had been making tall claims in the past were now informing the masses that they would have to face further price hike.
Commenting on the accountability being carried out by the government, Sirajul Haq said that the NAB and the government were not laying hands on the plunderers. He said that the 436 persons named in the Panama leaks were still roaming about freely.
