Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Friday said that foreign investors are being facilitated and more investment from the UK would be welcomed. He said this while talking to the British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew, here at Governor's House on Friday. During the meeting, Pak-UK relations, war against terror and other issues of mutual interest came under discussion.
The Governor maintained that the UK has always supported Pakistan for the provision of basic facilities in health and education sectors. World must recognize Pakistan and its security forces sacrifices in war against terrorism, he added.
Talking separately to the delegations of the LCCI and National Management College Peshawar, the Governor said that whole world including China is now have trust in Pakistan as they all know that Pakistan is now being ruled by honest leadership like Imran khan.
"Corrupt and money launderers are biggest criminals of Pakistan and they will not be given mercy at all," he said, adding: "The government is aware of business community's issues and they will formulate economic policies after consultation with business community." He said that no economic development is possible without involvement of businessmen. LCCI SVP Khawaja Shehzad Nasir informed the Governor about economic issues and gave suggestions for bringing more foreign investment.
