Minister exhorts youth not to compromise national integrity

State Minister for States and Frontier Regions Shehryar Khan Afridi expressed deep concern over 20 million out-of-school children and emphasised that people from all strata of society should get equal opportunities. He expressed these views, speaking as the chief guest at 'Roots Millennium Education Edexcel High Achievers and International Award Ceremony 2019,' held at Pakistan-China Friendship Centre, here on Saturday.
The minister highlighted multifarious responsibility of all Pakistanis, as a nation, to be responsible humans to endorse the narrative of Pakistan to the world. He told the youth to be proud of their roots and never to compromise their national integrity.
He congratulated the Roots Millennium Education for being a mark of academic excellence and a gateway to opportunities for the youth. He underscored the significance of nationalism and said it is the need of the hour to promote our language, values, culture, norms, and above all the positive image of Pakistan at all levels.
Proud faces of jubilant young learners, their success, medals, trophies, certificates defined the aura of the auspicious ceremony, where more than 1000 proud learners were awarded Edexcel Achievement Awards, Edexcel Progressive Awards, IBIC, IKLC, IKMC and IKSC certificates. Many other international awards such as medals and certificates for the World Scholars Cup, YCT certificates and trophies, Swimming Championship certificates and trophies, Spellathon certificates, Science Olympiad Certificates and participation certificates from universities, all across the globe also made the event graceful.
Afridi appreciated Roots Millennium Education (RME) commitment to the overall development of students who, alongside academics, are seen in the forefront in all the national and international mega events.
The RME chief executive Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq (TI) spoke on multitude of initiatives that have been introduced and successfully implemented in the Roots Millennium Education. He focussed stimulating the youth and bringing out the best in them, to equip them with the skills of decision-making, problem-solving, critical thinking and creativity.
"We need to create classrooms as safe spaces for students with differentiated aptitudes, abilities and interests, so they may be able to realise their potential to the fullest," he said, calling for equipping youth with the necessary knowledge and skills so they may meet the challenges of a fast-changing world and become lifelong practitioners.
The event brought together bright learners, their hardworking role models - the teachers, administration and content parents to celebrate their outstanding achievements and to motivate them to continue the hard work and to strive for future successes. It was a commemoration and a wonderful celebration of the efforts of all the young Millennials.
The Millennium Education believes in going the extra mile by cherishing its tradition of breaking records and making history of holistic academic excellence.
