Prime Minister Imran Khan has met with the members of the Punjab Cabinet, here at Governor's House on Saturday and shared his views about reforms agenda and public welfare initiatives. During the meeting, the cabinet members briefed the prime minister about important matters concerning their respective departments.
The cabinet members also briefed the prime minister about the ongoing projects under Punjab public-private partnership. The Punjab Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja apprised the PM about progress made in suicide blast outside Data Darbar. Imran Khan stressed that protection of life and property of the people is basic obligation of the government and all necessary safeguards be adopted in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed the members of provincial cabinet for strict monitoring of Ramazan Bazaars. He asked the Punjab Assembly members and provincial ministers to regularly visit Ramazan Bazaars, which have been set up in their respective areas. The prime minister also directed the cabinet members to ensure provision of essential commodities at fixed rates during the holy month of Ramazan. He also directed the authorities concerned to take immediate action against profiteers and hoarders.
He also underscored the need of involving private sector in development activities with focus on provision of jobs. He also called for taking steps for well-being of farmers.
