Iranian Consul-General Mohammad Baqir Beigi Wednesday said that Iranian mineral experts would impart technical training to mineral sector manpower of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in this connection the mineral sector experts of Iran would organize workshops that would be held in Peshawar. He expressed these views while meeting with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minerals Minister Dr Amjad Ali Khan at his office.
Speaking on Dr Amjad said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has vast minerals resources and invited Iranian investors to invest in mineral sector of the province. He said that Iranian investors can participate in lease competition through joint venture. He said that the provincial government had passed new mineral law from the assembly and now investors from other countries including Iran can directly participate in the bidding of mines. He said that KP was looking for technical support from Iran in mining sector in order to explore its natural resources.
On this occasion, the Iranian Consul-General invited Dr. Amjad to visit Iran which he graciously accepted and said that he would soon visit mineral rich provinces of Iran including Tehran and Khurasan provinces and would be met with minerals experts and would participate in international exhibition of precious and semi-precious gemstones exhibition.
Both the dignitaries stressed the need to further strengthen bilateral relations in entire developmental sectors and would extend all possible cooperation with each other.
