Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said those who vowed to prefer suicide over seeking loan from IMF, have handed over the whole country to them.
He was talking to a delegation headed by senior PPP leader Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti, which called on him at Zardari House, Islamabad the other day. Members of the delegation included PPP district Charsadda president Naeem Khan Umerzai, provincial leader Raham Badshah Sherpao and district women wing president Sajida Khattak. Peshawar Press Club (PPC) president Syed Bukhar Shah was also present on the occasion. The meeting discussed prevailing political situation in the country particularly upcoming provincial assembly elections in the merged districts of erstwhile FATA and other party affairs in detail.
The meeting criticized PTI government for skyrocketing prices, depreciation of rupee and agreement with IMF for bailout package and said PTI has cheated the people in the name of change.
The meeting said PTI government is using National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as a tool for harassing political opponents. But, they are ready for all the challenges and would come triumphant from courts. The meeting expressed resolve for full participation in the elections of the merged districts and said tribesmen are patriotic and they will not give in to the hallow slogans of bringing change.
Asif Ali Zardari said the champions of change have mortgaged the country with the IMF and bringing unelected people to forefront to run the affairs of the government.
On this occasion, the PPP district Charsadda president Naeem Umerzai invited the former president for visiting Charsadda, which he accepted and said he would soon visit the district.
