KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed for speedy finalisation of the models of housing schemes under Sasta Ghar Programme in Peshawar and Hangu districts. He has further directed guaranteeing the feasibility of the models from all aspects and keeping in view the facilitation of the people.
He issued these directives while presiding over the second meeting of the provincial task force for the affordable housing scheme (Sasta Ghar Scheme) here in Chief Minister's Secretariat here on Sunday.
Besides, the Provincial Minister for Communication and Works (C&W), Akbar Ayub Khan, Special Assistant to PM, Iftikhar Durrani, Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR), Fakhare Alam, administrative secretaries of the concerned departments, members of task force and other authorities concerned attended the meeting.
The meeting was given detailed briefing regarding progress on Sasta Ghar Scheme and role and arrangements of the provincial government for the purpose.
During the meeting, the Secretary Housing presented a proposal that the scheme should be launched in those districts where land is available. He said that in the provincial capital Peshawar eight thousand kanal land is available at Surizai while eight and five hundred kanal land is available in Hangu and Swat districts respectively where these cheap housing scheme could be constructed.
The meeting also reviewed different models for the Sasta Ghar Schemes and different proposals were also flouted.
The chief minister directed the presenting of strong and feasible proposal for the launching of schemes in Peshawar and Hangu wherein land is already available and directed speedy work in this connection.
