Temperature in Karachi is expected to touch again 38 degrees Celsius mark with hot and humidity weather in the next 48 hours, the Met Office said on Tuesday. It said that the city is likely to witness a simmering daytime on Wednesday with temperature up to 37 degrees Celsius and 38 degrees Celsius on Thursday, as humidity is expected to range up to 60 percent the both days.
"A shallow westerly wave is present over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas and likely to grip upper/central parts of the country on Wednesday and may persist during next 2-3 days," the Met said. In the next 24 hours: Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country with scattered dust-thunderstorm and rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and Kashmir, besides Bahawalpur, Multan, D G Khan, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi Divisions, while isolated fall in Quetta, Kalat and Zhob Divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
In the last 24 hours: Zhob received 5mm of rainfall, Lower Dir 4mm, Kalat and Nokkundi 2mm, each and Dalbandin 1mm. Maximum temperature was recorded in Jaccobabad as 43 degrees Celsius, Bahawalnagar and Dadu 42, each, Mohenjo-Daro, Hyderabad and Sakrand 41,each.
