Punjab Women Development Minister Ashifa Riaz has said that the present government will undertake every step to ensure revision and protection of women rights in letter and spirit. She expressed these views while addressing Inter-Unique Qirat Competition organized at Dr Nisar Ahmad Rana Auditorium under the aegis of Unique Group of Institutions on Tuesday.
Riaz said that Islam is a complete code of life where women enjoy equal rights. She also said that the government would undertake every possible step to remove barriers for women emancipation. She reiterated that it was lamentable that in the 21st century women are still deprived of their basic rights.
PTI leader Afeef Ashraf Siddiqui said that the Unique Group of Institutions is particularly focusing on Islamic education along with introducing the students with modern education. He said that Islamic values are the basis of character building of students. Unique Group of Institutions Rector Prof. Amjad Ali Khan said that the Unique Group of Institutions always lays stress on education through co-curricular activities.
He said this is the reason that the students of UGI are always at the forefront of educational achievements along with religious education. He said that the UGI will plan to organize Inter School Qirat Competition, where a large number of students from public and private schools will be invited for participation.
