The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in a party gathering held in connection with 'Youm-e-Takbeer' lashed out at PM Imran Khan and blamed him for pushing the country backward causing miseries and manifold problems for the country. The function was organized at the PML-N Secretariat Model Town which was addressed among others by Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shahbaz, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Sanaullah Khan and others.
A large number of the PML-N workers including women activists attended the gathering and shouted slogans in favour of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz besides the slogans of 'vote ko izat do'. Addressing the charged gathering, Maryam Nawaz, the PML-N vice president, lashed out Prime Minister Imran Khan labeling him a "selected, incapable" premier.
Addressing PM Imran, Maryam said, "Don't hide behind institutions. Had Nawaz been out [of jail] today, this [PTI's] government would not have lasted." She added: "All his interviews, his speeches have been about Nawaz Sharif. Had he paid any attention to the country's affairs, things could have been changed. You might be a selected leader, but you are the [prime] 'incapable' minister of Pakistan - wake up, and serve the country and its people."
She also took a swipe at Prime Minister Imran's relations with India, saying that Indian premier Narendra Modi didn't take Imran's call in February when Pakistan and India engaged in aerial combat. "This is the same Modi who came to Pakistan during Nawaz's time. Why don't people take your phone calls? Why do people not talk to you? Because you stole your way into power," she continued. "You are a puppet; you dance on someone's instructions. This is why no country is willing to give you respect."
Paying tributes to ZAB, founder of Pakistan's nuclear programme, Maryam said the founder of nuclear programme was hanged while the PM (Nawaz Sharif) who conducted nuclear explosions despite pressure is behind the bard. She paid tribute to Nawaz Sharif for "making Pakistan a nuclear power which made the country defence impregnable". Maryam said the so-called PM is saying that he would not give NRO. "I tell him who is asking for it. What is your status? You came into power through conspiracies and after stealing public mandate. The incapable premier is facing fear, his batting order was totally changed but you cannot speak."
Maryam asserted that PM Imran Khan is a puppet leader and no one in the world respects him. She added that PM Imran has given the whole country into hands of IMF. She said stock market was in much better position in the government of Nawaz Sharif, adding that one has to stand now in long lines to buy one kilogram sugar. Regarding the incident of FATA in which people also lost their lives, Maryam hit hard the KPK and central governments for not making any statement after the incident. "Nation wants reply as to why the security forces were made controversial."
Addressing the function, Hamza Shahbaz slammed the incumbent government for taking loan of Rs 1000 billion in just nine months apart from making extra spending of Rs 723 billion. He said there are offshore companies of Aleema Khan, Faisal Wadah and others in government but only the PML-N people are being targeted. Hamza said the PTI has no road map to steer the country out of economic crises.
He also highlighted services rendered by the PML-N government for the country as well as countrymen right from atomic explosions to generating 11,000 MW in its last tenure. Other speakers paid tributes to Nawaz Sharif for conducting atomic explosions.
Youm-e-Takbeer, the celebration of Pakistan's atomic explosions in 1998 is commemorated every year on May 28 to remember the conduction of nuclear tests on the very day, in 1998, making seventh nuclear nation of the world and first Islamic state equipped with nuclear arsenal. Pakistan had conducted nuclear tests in Rasko Hills of Chaghi district of Balochistan in response to five nuclear explosions conducted by India, threatening the security of Pakistan.
