ANP holds rallies against price hike in different cities of KP

Hundreds of activists of Awami National Party (ANP) on Sunday took out rallies in different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa against the increasing price-hike, increase in petroleum commodities, electricity and gas tariff.
A large number of workers attended a rally, which was addressed by ANP Central President Asfandyar Wali Khan in district Charsadda. The demonstrators were holding placards and banners inscribed with anti-government slogans and against increasing inflation in the country.
They also raised full-throated slogans against the incumbent rulers and asked them to immediate step-down by accepting their failure. The ANP leaders vowed the agitation campaign would be expanded to the whole country if the government was failed to take measures to control over increasing 'price-hike'
Addressing party workers in Charsadda this afternoon, the Central President of ANP Asfandiyar Wali Khan said the government has failed to control prices of commodities. He stressed the need for giving relief to public besides improving infrastructure in tribal districts.
Meanwhile, Protest rally of Awami National Party (ANP)Khyber district was held against price hiking here at Bacha Khan square Landi Kotal bazaar on Sunday. A large number of the party workers and people participated in the protest demonstration.
The protesters were carried placards inscribed with slogans like, "government anti-masses economic policy unacceptable" etc and were chanted slogans against the incumbent government.
Addressing on the occasion speakers including provincial join secretary of ANP Shah Nasir Khan, provincial council member of ANP Dr Ghulam Habib, President ANP Khyber district and candidate for PK-105 Shah Hussain, Tehsil President Haji Sada Jan Afridi and others expressed their concern over the unprecedented price hike and said the failed economic policies of incompetent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) took the country to the verge of bankruptcy.
Economic policies introduced by the Khan regime aiming to snatch a single loaf from the mouth of a poor, they maintained and saying the upcoming budget of PTI government for the year 2019-20 would further ruin masses of the country by putting extra taxes on them.
"Price rocketing of basic commodities in the country has compelled middle class citizens to commit suicide because they cannot feed their families with honor and respect," they remarked.
They added that elites of Pakhtun rendered uncounted sacrifices for the sake of their country and they would never let anyone to usurp rights of the Pakhtun community and urged the tribesmen to vote ANP candidates in the coming provincial assembly election to be scheduled on July 2nd, 2019. At the end the rally dispersed peacefully.
