Punjab Information and Culture Minister Syed Sumsam Ali Bukhari has said that it is heart-rending to listen to Maryam Nawaz's speech based on foul language and it is a great irony that the Nawaz League is now defending Pakistan People's Party (PPP).
Giving his reaction to recent political activities of the opposition parties, the Minister said that they have joined hands with one another on the pretext of nurturing grudge against PM Imran Khan and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
"PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari had been put into jail during the two tenures of Nawaz Sharif. How come those hurling accusations against one another can become allies today," he wondered. He averred that those indulging in loot and plunder of debt amounting to Rs 24,000 billion cannot go scot-free. He said Nawaz Sharif turned politics of respect into politics of corruption. "Investigations should be carried out to ascertain how culture of loot and plunder started after 1985," he added.
