Assets Declaration Scheme Awareness & guidance campaign in full swing in Hazara

Awareness and guidance campaign regarding Assets Declaration Scheme 2019 announced by the Prime Minister Imran Khan is in full swing under the auspices of Regional Tax Office (RTO) Abbottabad. In this connection, the RTO Abbottabad has established special 'Help Desk' at its reception wherein taxpayers are being provided all kind of guidance and services regarding the scheme.
The Chief Commissioner Income Tax, Hazara Region has constituted a team headed by Commissioner Inland Revenue, Mohyuddin Ismail to facilitate those who are interested in taking benefit of the scheme.
The team has continued the process of meetings and consultations regarding the scheme with traders, lawyers, investors, industrialists association, tax consultants and other stakeholders from Abbottabad, Haripur and Mansehra while for the dissemination of information and carrying a door-to-door guidance campaign an advertisement campaign through media is also being in progress.
According to a spokesman of the RTO all those citizens who are in possession of any kind of undeclared assets except gold ornaments can declare their assets with payment of a nominal ratio of tax under the scheme.
The scheme that one hand would help bring the country out of the economic crisis would provide a golden opportunity to liberate their conscious by payment taxes. Except government employees and parliamentarians all people can take benefits of the scheme till June 30, 2019.
The RTO office has reminded and warned that from July 1, 2019 (all those people whose assets detailed have been obtained from different sources are available with the Federal Board of Revenue) would face action in name of their benami properties and income under the law and beside confiscation of their properties would also face seven years imprisonment.
Those interested in taking benefit of the scheme have been asked to visit either the Regional Tax Office, Abbottabad or sub-offices at Haripur and Mansehra for obtaining information, guidance and services regarding the scheme or contact them through telephone number 0992-9310434 or obtained concerned information from the FBR website (www.fbr.gov.pk) respectively.
