Provincial Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Minister Muhammad Ajmal Cheema has said no non-governmental organisation (NGO) would be registered in the province without obtaining non-objection certificate (NOC) from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
The Minister issued this direction while chairing a high level meeting of all divisional directors and deputy directors of the Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal (SW&BM) here on Monday. "We all have gathered here to review our working during the last few months and devise an effective strategy for better future performance," Cheema said. All of us think about the benefits of ourselves but now it is the time to do something for others for the people who needed our support.
Chairperson Punjab Women Protection Authority Kaneez Fatima, Secretary Social Welfare Ambreen Raza, Director General Social Welfare and Kiran Afshan Imtiaz were also in attendance. During the meeting, the names for district advisory councils were also discussed. The Minister also directed all the divisional directors to conduct complete scrutiny before issuing disability certificate to a person. "No NGO would be registered without obtaining NOC form the CTD," he concluded.
