Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani would make historic visit to Pakistan on Sunday (June 23) and announcement of $ 22 billion investment in various sectors of the country is expected.
While talking to media persons on Monday, Federal Minister for Railway Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the Emir of Qatar would visit Pakistan on Sunday and would announce to make investment in Pakistan.
Sheikh Rashid said, "It is big news that Qatar is going to invest of $ 22 billion in Pakistan."
Parliamentary Secretary for Railways Farrukh Habib also said while talking to media outside the Parliament House that Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani would visit Pakistan on Sunday.
He said that joint cooperation of the two countries would be strengthened after the visit of Emir of Qatar in Pakistan. He said, "We are expecting maximum financial support from Qatar."
According to reports, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani on Monday completed his preparation to visit Pakistan to sign the biggest investment agreement in the history of Pakistan.
Duration of Emir's visit has not been decided yet. A high-level delegation will also visit Pakistan along the Emir of Qatar.
Saudi Arabia has already signed agreements of $20 billion investment in different sectors in Pakistan as well.
Parliamentary Secretary for Railways Farrukh Habib also said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has no tolerance for money launderers and corrupt people.
He said, "All the institutions are working in their perimeters and we do not allow anybody to pressurise the system." He said that 85 percent assets of Sharif family have been increased. He said that today, the corrupt people in the opposition are trying to hide behind the Parliament.
He said, "We will not allow the corrupt to escape the country and they will have to face accountability."
He said that the budget 2019-20 would be approved from the National Assembly and the government would give relief to the poor.
Parliamentary Secretary for Planning, Development and Reform Kanwal Shauzab said that the previous governments (PPP and PML-N) had obtained Rs 24,000 billion in just 10 years. She said that Prime Minister Imran Khan saved the country from defaulting and steered it towards economic stability. She said now a commission will investigate Rs 24,000 billion loans and fix responsibility.
