Five more polio cases surface in KP

Focal Person to Prime Minister on Polio Eradication, Babar Bin Atta on Thursday said that five more polio cases have been surfaced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa adding that all the cases have a zero-dose routine immunization history. Taking to twitter, Babar Atta said that the cases with zero-dose routine immunization history mean parents refused to give their children polio drops. "Blood serology shows that 90 percent of the children with polio this year have had no polio drops," he added.
Babar Bin Atta further stated that the propaganda against polio drops in Peshawar has fuelled parental refusals in far off areas of the country as Pakistan reports 5 new cases from KP. "I urge parents not to give in to false propaganda. Together we will make a polio free Pakistan," he said.
