An Election tribunal (ET) headed by Sindh High Court (SHC)'s judge Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar dismissed the appeal against candidature of Sardar Bux Khan Mehr, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)'s candidate for bye-election NA-205, Ghotki-II. The candidatures of PPP candidate were challenged by Shabrati Khan, a residence of Ghotki on the plea that Mehr failed to disclose 2030 acres of land in the nomination papers, which was allotted to him by government. The counsels of Mehr Haq Nawaz Talpur Advocate and Barrister Muhammad Asad Ashfaque Advocate contested that the said land is a government land not allotted to their client, hence not required to be disclosed in the nomination papers.
